Kaitlyn Clark was born and raised in Shelbyville, Indiana. In 2008, she received her Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University-Bloomington, where she double-majored in Studio Arts and Art History and minored in Spanish. She then obtained a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Ceramics from Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis (IUPUI) in 2011. In 2015, Kaitlyn earned a Master of Fine Arts graduate at Tufts University in conjuncture
with the School of the Museum of Fine Arts-Boston.  

 

Her work uses mixed-media in sculptural installations, and includes elements of video and sound. She explores themes of biblical morality, social hierarchy, human desire, business ethics, consumption, and addiction.  These themes originated from her experience working in a casino, and are still explored through her bartending/serving experiences.
